Review of The Theory of Everything (2014) by Jason C — 21 Mar 2015
Eddie Redmayne does a fantastic job. I couldn't think of someone who would be a better casting. As for the story while it was interesting to see a movie based on hawking's personal life I would have liked a bit more of the science as well (since isn't that a big part of his life?).
Instead, about a third of the movie was spent explaining/implying potential affairs that both jane and stephen partook in. This really detracted from the movie in my opinion. That coupled with the lack of actual science (hawking postulates a couple theories) is the reason for it only getting 3 stars.
An average movie about what many people call an extraordinary man. Frankly, I expected more.
