Review of The Thaw (2009) by Shane J — 03 Jan 2010
An average thriller...or may be horror movie... "from the makers of evil dead trilogy" was what struck my eyes on the poster.... but to be frank, the movie lacks the quality established by the franchise...A good start, followed by not so intresting set of events, poor screenplay taking us to a not so twisting end... the viewer is able to guess almost every next event on screen....May be thats why this "so called thriller", isnt good enough to create goosebumps....
Try watching this movie alone at midnight, if at all you want to experience a bit of fear...
On the positive side, there area a few things...Good performance by the support actors combined with good cinematography keeps the audience in seat...Editing though could have been better....
A "can see once" type of movie....
