Review of The Thaw (2009) by Adrian F — 30 Mar 2010
Kind of a weird mixture of horror and political commentary on global warming. I think this had the potential to be a much better film with a number of promising elements--isolated location, creepy bugs, psychological tension; however, the acting fell flat and Val Kilmer was just completely ridiculous.
I think this movie might be definitive proof that Val Kilmer has lost it. I actually think he's a good actor, but he keeps choosing to star in these terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad movies.
