Review of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) by Richard C — 05 Dec 2009
There is a great horror film somewhere in here. Too bad it's weighed down by amateur film making and a crappy screenplay. The actors do a fine job working with what they have and the film has an uneasy and brutal pace.
a little too brutal too fully engage into the story line actually. And the story just seems poorly put together and doesn't make too much sense which takes away from the realism that the first films seemed to have.
I will admit though that they did a good job in the victims charachter growth department. You feel for these charachters especially Brewster. But too much of a need to make out do the other other makes for an somewhat solid but sadly forgettable watch.
