Review of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986) by Charles R — 17 Mar 2014
Why all the hate boys??? Like Sam Raimi did with the Evil Dead franchise, here Tobe Hooper makes the jump from straight horror to spoof. In fact, the difference between the first and second and pretty much identical to that of the first two Evil Dead movies: Bigger budget, more gore, more action, and a LOT more laughs.
Of course it doesn't have the epic creatures or the charismatic lead that made Raimi's movies classics, but TCM2 finds it's own odd brand of 80s redneck humour, making another horror/comedy classic.
