Review of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986) by Jordan J — 07 Oct 2017
This movie is bad. It is not scary at all, it is over the top ridiculous. I just do not liked this movie. The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre has this feeling of realism to it, and it was also horrifying.
The first movie used gore and its setting to get scares. The first movie also had the psychotic cannibal family. This movie turns it up a notch and it comes out completely ridiculous. The first movie got it just right.
This movie is just ridiculous. It's bad. Parts that were supposed to be scary actually made me laugh. Remember the dinner scene in the first movie. It was disturbing. This movie takes it to far and makes it unbelievably funny.
It's just bad. There were one or two moments that scared me but that's it. Everything else about this movie was pretty bad. Not an awful movie though, it's just bad. Definitely skip over this one.
