Review of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986) by Shane B — 21 Aug 2009
Because the tone of this one shifts to downright camp, it has no scare factor - and Leatherface falls in love. How much you'll like it depends on how high you revere the original. The lead girl spends too much time screaming her face off (no pun intended) and Dennis Hopper just goes mental.
It does have a fair share of gore, and the production design on their hideout at the end is pretty fucking special. An atypical horror sequel.
