Review of The Terminator (1984) by Bryan P — 14 Dec 2013
I watched this classic movie again at least I thought so. I soon realized that it didn't look that familiar at all so this must be the first time I see the movie entirely.
The movie hasn't technological gimmicks of todays movie productions but still it's a solid scifi/action movie. Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton play great together but the obvious nova of the movie is of course Arnold "the Terminator" Schwarzenegger. In his first scene naked Terminator looks intensely over the Los Angeles almost as if he knew what was about to come. Well in the film his character did knew but I'm talking about Schwarzeneggers career and life. The story of the movie is quite simple, a manhunt with sprinkle of scifi and romance. It's just so well put together thanks to James Cameron. Music also plays a role in every production and here it fits perfectly with it's mechanical beat and and somewhat dull tone. So all in all still an enjoyable movie. I'm hopefull of the new Terminator movie but I also know it will never outstand the original Terminator. Until then as Mr. Schwarzenegger would put it, "I'll be back".
