Review of The Terminator (1984) by Steven1981 — 19 Mar 2020
James Cameron's The Terminator made in the year 1984 is a sci fi action classic and easily the best in the Terminator series (yes even better than T2)... Arnold Schwarzenegger is sent to earth after a few flashes of blue lightning, completely naked and he's a cyborg which means half man and half machine.
Seconds later some other dude is sent down to earth from the future too and is naked and he's the protector named Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn) and he loses the cops and steals a shotgun from their car. They both track down Sarah Connor ( Linda Hamilton) who is the primary target for assassination.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is The Terminator and must kill Sarah Connor because her son will become important in the future. Fast paced action sci fi, plenty of car chases, plenty of unsettling moments especially the eye removing scene, blood, explosions and a shootout at a bar called Tech Noir The Terminator delivers plenty of action and has a dark, serious and sinister feel throughout that creates tension, suspense and grabs the viewer and never let's go for one moment! Excellent film.
