Review of The Ten Commandments (1956) by Mike S — 16 Apr 2009
I grew up watching the film and know many lines by heart. I watched it again recently for the first time in years and was really struck by how campy it seems. Heston's Moses becomes more wooden and unapproachable the closer he comes to holiness.
Brynner's Rameses, however, remains a delight.
