Review of The Tall Man (2012) by Manuel D — 13 Nov 2012
What a great, great thriller. This is what movies are supposed to be about, they give you the idea that its this predictable horror flick like so many others out there but as the minutes go by you suddenly realize that its something completely different than what you were assuming and you end up helplessly hooked on it.
I absolutely love the twist and the reason for the children disappearing, I dont know why so many critics find the reasoning behind it ridiculous because it totally makes sense. It just makes me realize that because you can publish a well written review doesnt necessarily mean you truly understand the film you just reviewed.
The subject matter is something I dont believe has been touched before in this type of genre, the idea is fresh and all you have to do is understand modern day politics to understand how it would make sense.
Watch the film, it will keep you guessing until almost the very end.
