Review of The Tale of Zatoichi (1962) by Alex C — 02 Jul 2013

It's a fine story with interesting development, begins with Zatoichi's arrival in the town to the fitting end with a duel with a great rival samurai. I like the action, and the actor really lived up to his character as a blind but surprisingly skilled swordsman.

But the film lacks of dramatic tone of a samurai film; I couldn't help myself but think how long they start the war and how fast they end it.
