Review of The Tale of Despereaux (2008) by Christina H — 04 Apr 2014
It's bittersweet, at a pleasant pace, and engagingly exciting. The graphics are prepossessing, and the star-studded cast does an amiable job. It sounds perfect. However, the film's story is prosaic during its so-so finale, a topsy-turvy, all-over-the-place jaunt through some castle with some defective father-daughter relationship undertone and one really evil rat.
