Review of The Tale of Despereaux (2008) by Andy W — 01 Jun 2009

For a film adapted from a 'much loved' book, the biggest problem with this film is the story itself - it rambles, makes little sense, and just feels all over the place. There's no humour, little character or excitement on offer, just a cute mouse with big ears.

The animation (mouse apart) is unappealing, and considering the calibre of the cast, their voices do little to raise interest.
