When you watch the trailer "The Tale of Despereaux", You are given an exciting small and cleverly put together trailer that is upbeat and storytelling. A dash of humor too. I gotta admit, it does make you slightly curious...Just slightly.
Unfortunately, the trailer's wonderful animation doesn't save the story from being, what many may have already found to be as a flunk. I've never read the book, but the movie felt very offbeat and didn't enchant me. It had interesting characters, but there wasn't enough happenning in the movie to give this "Tale" a run for the movie theaters. Two stars.
