Review of The Tale (2018) by Steve B — 26 May 2018
It's a good and worthy story of overcoming complacency/denial and confronting the difficult truth - in this case, abuse from the past. I did not love every directorial choice. The way they had flashbacks conversing with the present - which went on throughout - I did not love.
But it was certainly a very authentic tale. It was interesting that the protagonist was a strong woman who was at no point totally devastated. that was somewhat contrary to expectation for this sort of thing.
No, it was just a voyage of awakening with some lessons that could easily influence others to follow a similar important path. 7.6 out of 10.
