Review of The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) by Codie E — 25 Aug 2008
Simple and very exciting. Robert Shaw is brilliant as the leader of a group of flawed criminals, and while Walter Watthau's character is a little wayward at times, the actor makes up for it. Should make for a very good remake next year, and give the chance to right some wrongs in this (the anticlimactic ending) but Travolta's casting is terrible, if this is used as a tight blueprint.
