Review of The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) by Jordan R — 05 Jun 2009
Just watched it again after many years! An excellent film but it doesn't really hold up well. The pacing of the film just doesn't cut it anymore. Maybe I've gotten spoiled by too many other fast paced thrillers but despite a great cast when the film was over, I was left very unsatisfied.
I'm sure it was a gritty film for it's time but it has lost it's punch over the years. For those that don't know though, this is the film that Tarantino stole the idea for his character names in Resevoir Dogs.
