Ever since I heard this was getting remade i've wanted to see it. It's nothing special but there is fun to be had. Robert Shaw and Matthau are very good. The supporting performances are good across the board.
There is more talking than action so you can see where a studio saw a remake in this...but that's another conversation for another time.
