Review of The Tailor of Panama (2001) by Daniel A — 27 Dec 2008
An entertaining, farcical spy thriller with good casting and a few hilarious moments. Geoffrey Rush is excellent as the tailor in Panama City with an incredible and humorous imagination. Pierce Brosnan is comfortable in his old James Bond role, just a little more conniving and cheap without the black tie attire.
I found myself laughing and snickering throughout - a good sign. A scene with Pentagon officials getting a briefing from British intelligence reminded me of Dr. Strangelove. Overall, very entertaining.
