Review of The Sword of Doom (1966) by Bob P — 06 Jan 2012
This, to me, is a rather empty Samurai action film. That said being said, the action is absolutely stellar and that is what garners this film it's critical acclaim. If you want something with great pacing or something that will leave you with any sense of resolution, look elsewhere.
I understand this film was set to be part of a trilogy (the other two films were never produced) but, as it is, the film's sudden, abrupt ending does it no favors.
