Review of The Sword in the Stone (1963) by Jackson W — 31 Aug 2012
Another one of those Disney pictures that would have been more masterful if not for rundown and copied animation in its scenes. A unique fact about Sword in the Stone though is that all the schtick usually found in one of these movies, self-fulfilled accomplishment, the power of true love, and thwarting evil are all present but do nothing to define the film as a whole.
It's hard to describe really, but I like how it focuses more on the story of Arthur, as it should have, above all else.
