Review of The Sweet Hereafter (1997) by Shawn M — 22 Feb 2008
Perhaps one of the reasons I like this film so much is because I saw it in Tokyo a few months after I arrived in Japan. The Hudson's Bay blanket, the Bluebird school bus, the A-Frame, and so much else reminded me of home.
But, more than that, the complexity of emotion portrayed reminded me of home even more.
