The Sweet Hereafter, 10/10.
This is a fantastic movie, so subtle, so humane. The best things about it is that it never boils down to simplicity. It's easy to make certain characters to be villians, but it chooses not to. It's not a tearjerker at all, and one of the biggest strengths is hitting our head and make us think, instead of crying. The performances are fantastic and top notch. A must see.
