Review of The Swan Princess (1994) by Mallory B — 18 Jul 2007

All right, after seeing this again for the first time in, like, two years, I feel the need to alter this review. Fabulous animation, adorable characters, a wonderful score - however, the script is terribly corney...As a child I thought the film was perfect, but as an adult it didn't hold up so well :/ I don't care, though, since it was one of my favorites :) You really can't go wrong with this underrated movie, as everything else is pretty awesome. This also is the host of one of my favorite quotes of all time - "You should write a book - 'How to Offend Women in Five Syllables or Less'." Buy the great soundtrack too; "Eternity" and "This Is My Idea" are so damn catchy. Go out and get this on DVD - it'll bring out your inner child! :).

P.S. - This is a perfect drinking game movie. Take a shot every time someone says "everlasting love", "the great animal", Uberta makes a rediculous face, Jean-Bob talks about being a prince and/or getting smooched, and Derek says "ODETTE"! xD.
