Review of The Sure Thing (1985) by Tom A — 14 Sep 2007
It has dated horribly (like most films from the '80's) but this is an overlooked and underated gem. Directed by Rob Reiner who also did When Harry Met Sally but for my money despte being a "teenage" film, this is more romantic, more charming and definitely funnier.
Reiner also made Stand by Me and This is Spinal Tap... the guys was on one hell of a role, what happened to him?? An '80's teen comedy classic, right up there with 16 Candles and Ferris Bueller.
