I have been a Mario fan for years and this movie if full of references and fanservice to the Mario saga. But the plot is very generic and predictable. And there was some jokes that were funny and other ones wasn't.

And I know I'm not a kid but this movie is meant for kids and for the family to have a good time watching this movie with 0 politics and not wokism nonsense. I don't like illuMIDation but this movie surprised me at the theaters.

But I would only leave it as a single movie and not milking it with unessesary sequels or a ''NCU'' not everyone wants, because they can ruin it if they don't have a plan to do so. So its an 8/10 for me.

The cast is awful but if you watch the movie on latin Spanish its way better.
