It stayed true to mario and and its themes 1000% so many cool easter eggs and the refernces sound design and music were fantastic! I am going to see it again with my sister and friends!
About the critics, I think what we need now is a website to rate the critics. A rating system to see how biased or not they are about an issue, how long have they been doing their craft, and their resume.
Accountability is needed.
