The Suicide Squad (Morts: The Movie).

Coming in after the mixed reviews its predecessor and following in after the failure of Birds of Prey and even the Harley Cartoon, The Suicide Squad relies heavily on Margot Robbie Harley Queen (whom somehow manages to be the main factor of the movie, again) to bring in the seats, mixed with their over use of crude humor and excessive violence that quickly outlives its entertainment value gets piled on by Cena's dry deliveries and forced acting. The use of Morts to try and get the viewer root for an underdog story on steroids falls short, specially after alienating all the fans that learned to care and root for the prior cast/team. Placing them against a threat like Starro a character known for even taken out the Man of Steel himself only devalues the character (but that a theme all throughout the movie) but places it as a promotional tool for upcoming animated properties. Albeit Morts: The Movie holds its own entertainment value no more or less than its predecessor, it's a fun watch recommended for the occasional movie goer but for fans of the prior film or the source material it might fall short, not failing to mentioned that confuses both the fore mentioned of the prior film that are coming in confused as to what cannot be told apart from a reboot/remake or a sequel, grounds that are to be threated lightly these days as properties as political tools (which this one is *trust me is there) or cash grabs that devalues the franchises. The movie aims to try and make/force you to care a LOT for these unknown characters even to the occasional comic book fan. Story plot is bland and dry, nothing special or new, an old plot that have been subverted past its expiration date. Direction its all over the place and character development its too obvious to care, scenery feels like a Hollywood box studio even when its not. Go at it as a viewer looking to have something to watch and don't over think it.
