I really really really wanted to like The Suicide Squad because I'm such a fan of Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy, but it wasn't long into my watching of this movie that my smile turned into a snear, and pretty much stayed that way until the end.
The characters are all so ugly, not the actors naturally, but the characters, even knowing they're supposed to be incarcerated supervillains I hated them all. Not one single redeeming storyline to root for, not even the Rocky Groot, ugh, I hated this movie, and I wanted to like it so much.
