The reviews absolutely did this movie no favours. It was getting an almost perfect score and I went in with expectations sky high. It is a good movie, but it's nowhere near the best superhero movies. These heroes can fight a space starfish (no spoilers if you watch the trailers) but are easily subdued by some human police.
It was bland for a big portion of the time. It's a Troma film with budget. James Gunn is very lucky to come full circle 20 years later, but this is a lot of DC fanboys trying to claim some territory. Definitely not even Top 10 superhero film in my book.
