Review of The Sugarland Express (1974) by Scott G — 11 Aug 2007
True story, set in the late 60s in texas, goldie hawn plays a wife who breaks out her husband, played by ben johnson out of a minimum security prison. they then have to get back home as theres trouble, with there son back home, through this they kidnapp a texas cop, and race across texas, while in pursuit by whats looks like the whole texas polie departmet, whilst this goes on a media frency happens, and a lot of public support, comes in for the two fujitives, a great chase, road movie, goldie hawn is superb here, in a early role, and a great directing debut from a certain steven spielberg, interesting fact- this is not his debut in europe, duel a tv moviw was so good they released it in cinema, and this is his first collaberation with composer, john williams, the first of many, great pacing, and great cinematoghraphy, makes this a great watch,.
