Review of The Stuff (1985) by Jake A — 25 Jun 2017
One of my favorite satire films that for the most part successfully blends horror and comedy. The practical effects are mostly impressive just like plenty of films from the 80s, the satire on consumerism is on point (the adverts for The Stuff and all the promotion are all believable), the horror elements are decent but it is only really scary in terms of the idea more than the execution and the general tone of the film is fast paced and doesn't get bogged down in trying to over explain the technical details of what The Stuff actually is.
