Review of The Strawberry Blonde (1941) by Robert S — 14 Aug 2008
A comedy with very few comedic moments. At times, the movie's pace was too slow (needless dialogue cluttered up large portions of the first half) and at other times, it was too fast (five years in jail consisted of a vague montage lasting about thirty seconds).
No problem with the acting but the script seemed somewhat all over the place. As I say, for a 'light comedy' I was very unsatisfied and frankly, bored.
