You know what, the concept is still terrifying even if the actual movie isn't. They took some risks with the sequel, which I appreciate. The Strangers ultimately doesn't give us enough story about the good or the bad, so I was hard to really care more than waiting simply to see what happens next.
Maybe that's how it was meant to be-- someone, out of nowhere, can end your life... that maybe is the scariest reminder. Why you might ask- why not? Eek.
