Review of The Strangers: Prey at Night (2018) by Alex S — 15 Mar 2018
As the movie started I liked it. then as everything got going, I felt it was all to fast. there was no build-up as the original. But I guess that's not what they were going for in this one.
The middle of the movie is where I about had buyers remorse/regret for paying for my gf and I too see it. However, the movie ended up giving me my monies worth. I love how the man in the mask, pinup girl and doll face actually got beat this time around. Like the original made me so irritated. These three masked assailants still came out on top even though the guy had a gun; which should have in all reality scared off any intruders; people, even burglars won't really go up against someone that has a firearm. (unless they're bat shit crazy or zero fucks are given) but both are stupid in my opinion. There's no way even though there were three people, that they should have taken out the couple. It made the killers seem invincible. But I love how the strangers got bested by their potential victims in this one.
And they found out that their actions carried consequences. I think that this is a legit movie. way better than the first one.
