Review of The Straight Story (1999) by Fabrice V — 11 Nov 2008
A wonderfully shot film with a beautiful acoustic guitar score and a lot of heart. It's impossible not to be charmed by the now deceased Richard Farnsworth's sad eyes and kind face, as he travels across states on a lawnmower to see his estranged brother, after receiving news he has had a stroke.
Different from David Lynch's more surreal movies but his visual flair is still there. A classic.
