Review of The Straight Story (1999) by Maria O — 27 Nov 2008
This is the only David Lynch film I highly like; many of his films are marred by uninteresting fantastic crap(In some of them, that is all that exists.)! Richard Farnsworth's acting is great and Sissy Spacek is, as usual, very good in a small role! The writing and all the other actings are very good and very realistic! The movie has the beauty of tough honesty.
The best line is spoken by Alvin Straight when asked by a young person "what's the worst thing about being old"! Straight replies "remembering when you were young".
