A G-Rated Disney film from David Lynch. How could it go wrong?
This is a remarkably charming little film based upon the true courageous trek of Alvin Straight (played here by Richard Farnsworth). After he hears that his estranged brother has suffered a stroke, Alvin sets out on his lawnmower across 260 miles to see him. David Lynch directs with a tender hand like we've never seen before, sticking in hilarious bits here and there. This is a perfect film for the whole family.
