Review of The Straight Story (1999) by Adam E — 06 Mar 2009
A thoughtful, beautifully shot David Lynch drama with strong performances, an emotional punch and a great score. The Straight Story may not be as dark and twisted as some of Lynch's more famous works but at its heart it is definitely Lynchian, with Alvin meeting some truly odd characters during his road trip.
A beautiful little film.
