I could never write a review that would do this movie justice and I won't even try. But let me just say that this is a masterpiece and one of the finest films I have ever seen. Richard Farnsworth gives the performance of his lifetime as Alvin Straight. If you are not moved by his honest and heartfelt performance you don't have a heart. I have to add that the soundtrack is stunning....and Harry Dean Stanton's cameo is pure gold.
An American classic!
