Review of The Stoning of Soraya M. (2009) by Dan M — 21 Nov 2009
About this movie:
A very dramatic movie based on day by day true events in the country of Iran. A movie that will make women as angry, just as angry as when watching The Kite Runner. I'm glad Muslim women and men are fighting against women mass murderers in governments while Muslim rapists go free. Just as you will see in the play at the end of the movie (a play against which Muslims protested!) some Muslim men are setting their eyes on other women and fuck them and decide to throw out their wives when they think they are too ugly and fat. They just call the police, call their wives whores and the stoning is a fact.
WILL WE SUPPORT THEM? OF COURSE NOT!
A message for Turkey:
The Turks are currently very disappointed because the first European president is very much against Turkey entering the European Union. Turks call it bad news. If I watch movies like this one or The Kite Runner or Not without my daughter and watch what Muslims are capable of I advice the Turks to openly start protesting and show that women MUST have the same rights as men and forbid a Muslim to have more than one wife. If the Turks close their eyes for equal rights in other Muslim countries and not in the least in Turkey itself I am the first to show my support to those who deny Turkey EU membership.
A message to Muslim men:
A hundred years ago some male Catholics were swines and women had no rights, not even the right to vote in election. It took decennia to stop this but we succeeded more or less in Europe. It is time that the Islam will show the world they can stop their anti-women rules and let women choose a partner by looking for them in a normal way and not forcing them to marry their first cousins. Do I need to write about the beating of women as well or do you get the point?
