This movie is a tragic story and I guess I am a naive north american woman to believe this actually happened within the last 25 years. I wonder if it happens now??? I could not watch the stoning and I sat and cried.
I can't even think of a word to describe how barbaric and horrific woman can be treated in this part of the world. It is no wonder some woman in try to commit suicide to spare themsleves from this life.
