Review of The Stoning of Soraya M. (2009) by Joel A — 18 Jun 2011
This film was brought to my attention by the Pastor, John Piper, while he was preaching a sermon on the adulterous woman from the Gospel of John. I'm glad it was. Despite the film being a hard to watch movie, I don't regret seeing it.
It's an educational film that is well written, directed perfectly and features acting that is superb. Certain aspects of it reminded me of The Passion of The Christ and that makes sense since the producer and composer worked on The Passion.
I encourage everyone to be brave and see this outstanding picture.
