Review of The Stepford Wives (2004) by Evan D — 29 Jun 2012
On its own, it delivers some thrills, but compared to the thought provoking, satirical novel, its drowned in the traditional lame 60's camp that dominated the low-budget sci-fi of that time...and it does this on a most unsuccessful level.
the only enjoyable piece to this re-make is the ensemble cast, which is far more interesting compared to the first films cast (which still wasnt anything worth talking about), but if you're looking for challenging satire, its not inherent in this bust.
