Review of The Steel Helmet (1951) by Riley H — 26 Oct 2010
There are a number of bad things about this film: the Americans pretending to be native Koreans, the score, the sets; but there is a lot to like: the crazy shots, the open discussions of racism, etc. It's probably one of the best (if not the best) American war movie made before the American Renaissance.
That isn't say much since there are so few of them, but hey, it's well worth your time.
