Review of The Stanford Prison Experiment (2015) by Tatsuhito K — 11 Aug 2015
A flat-out masterpiece. The Stanford Prison Experiment is the most compelling, visceral, and hard-hitting movie experience I've had at the movies this year, and I don't want to watch it ever again (well, maybe I'll watch it again after 6 months or so, but it is highly unlikely).
It's a masterfully directed film about the abuse of power and pushing one's boundaries; I'd consider this film as this year's Whiplash. It keeps its intensity from start to finish, and makes us forget that we are watching a film.
A brilliant film full of timelessly relevant punches and outstanding performances. It will knock you out real hard. Brace yourself.
