Review of The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) by Rajneel S — 18 May 2008
Regarded as the most "seminal" of Roger Moore's James Bond films, this movie is one of the most parodied and most appreciated by fans of the Moore-era. Essentially a big, dumb, tongue-in-cheek, quasi-super hero film that meanders along a nonsense plotline, dressed with funky gadgets, technological super-villain lairs, easy and pretty girls and Moore's very stiff upper crust acting.
This film is not the best James Bond movie...but it could be the one that nailed the cliches firmly to the wall. Terrible, but fun for a lot of people.
