Bond becomes a bit too smart-alecky, almost tongue-in cheek throughout, yet this movie is Moore's personal favorite of his 15 year span in the role. Fine action throughout. I have to upgrade this movie although it isn't one of my favorites simply because it redeems the perfectly dreadful book from Fleming that he was so embarrased of he refused to see it become a movie.
More original plot consistent with detente of the 70's. Buxom, dreamy eyed Barbara Bach is maybe the first female character to be on equal footing with Bond.
