Review of The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) by Colin F — 12 Jul 2012
This bond film has a very unoriginal Script, it is just basically a rehash of You Only Live Twice but in the Ocean. Despite this it is still a great movie and has loads going for it, such as my favourite James Bond car of all time the superb Lotus that can go under water, bring it back! It all introduces 7ft stooge Jaws, who is great in this film, the scenes at the Pyramids are brilliant.
Barbara Bach definitely looks the part but her acting is a little flat for me, Roger Moore is brilliant though, allot of people think this was his best film but I think he is better in For Your Eyes Only.
Curt Jurgens is a very good cold Bond Villain, but his plan to destroy the world and build a city under water is a load of old shite really, still a great entry in the series with a brilliant disco soundtrack.
